Right/Left Brain Exercises

My last post talked a bit about the new research and awareness of brain health going on. T-Tapp, my preferred form of exercise now, offers many exercises that challenge right & left brain coordination, as well as generally helping to improve neurokinetic pathways throughout the body.

One of my favorite right/left brain exercises is T-Tapp Hoe Downs. This one is easy enough for anyone to learn, and in addition to working the right and left sides of the body, gives a fantastic cardio boost as well as core workout taboot!

Another T-Tapp move, although slightly more advanced, is Thread the Needle. This one helps to develop balance, as well as strong waist to knee toning.

One that I’ve done for years is Jumping Jacks, but done in the sagittal plane (front to back rather than out to the sides like a string puppet).  Alternate left and right leg jumping forward while you swing opposite arms to your legs.  Kind of like patting your head while rubbing your belly! Let me know if you have any favorite right/left brain exercises that you use.
